Prior to becoming a therapist, I was a project and program manager in various Silicon Valley based tech companies. I am familiar with both the corporate and start-up environments, and how these workplace expectations can feel overwhelming. The pressure to achieve and create the next big thing can leave you feeling stressed and overworked, unable to set boundaries, and find time for yourself. Your attention to your health and well-being is often ignored and the focus becomes trying to meet one deadline after another, with the intention to rest after the next deadline, but there is always another deadline.
